applebooks_croppedAmanda Maniaty is a journalist and educator with a passion for the arts. She worked at SBS TV on arts programs such as The Noise and Imagine and for several years as a broadcast journalist with SBS News and Current Affairs; and produced online content for Reuters. She has written and directed two documentaries: the award-winning Victor Chang – King of Hearts and Shimmer in the City - a documentary on urban indigenous art. The latter has since been recommended by government as an educational resource for high school and tertiary students.  Amanda is also  a teacher and has written teachers’ notes and units of work for contemporary texts.


mic74Annette Shun Wah has extensive experience as a producer, broadcaster, interviewer and writer. She produced and presented many programs for ABC and SBS television, including The Noise, Eat Carpet, Imagine, Media Dimensions, Studio 22 and The Movie Show.  These days she regularly hosts national programs for ABC Radio. Co-author of the award-winning food book, Banquet – Ten Courses to Harmony, Annette has published short stories in the anthologies Grandma Magic, Come Away with Me, Growing Up Asian in Australia, Family Journeys and Off the Rails and contributed to journals such as Meanjin and Life Writing.


paintbrushes70Carolyn Taylor is a producer, director and visual artist.  She has worked in film and television for over 20 years, including stints on SBS's current affairs flagship Dateline and arts shows Fresco, The Noise and Eat Carpet.  In 1993 she was appointed director of the SBS music and arts culture program NOMAD.  Carolyn also has substantial experience producing promos and trailers for the ABC, SBS and Fox.  More recently she produced Five Star Cooking: The Next Generation, a 13 part series on young chefs for the Lifestyle Channel, and worked as a producer on the award-winning medical program RPA on TCN 9.
